  Patriots waived WR Donald Jones.

  According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots "want to get their young guys reps." Jones signed a three-year contract with New England in March, but the deal contained no guaranteed money. This move would seem to improve veteran Molasses Michael Jenkins' chances of making the final 53-man roster.

  Keep an eye on Kenbrell Thompkins (R).  He was getting some praise during and after OTA's.  He just might be what Brady is looking for.

  I think he has nice potential......I think the focus on Thompkins above is due to the fact that he went undrafted and is lesser known.

  According to ESPN Boston, Friday's release of Donald Jones was tied at least in part to UDFA WR Kenbrell Thompkins' "strong work" at spring practices.

  The Pats salvaged a $200,000 training camp reporting bonus by cutting Jones, but Thompkins practiced so well that he earned first-team reps by the end of minicamp. Reliable beat writer Mike Reiss deems Thompkins "the under-the-radar Patriots offensive player who has arguably built more momentum than any other." Worth a look in all dynasty leagues, Thompkins is also a favorite of Rookie Scouting Portfolio's Matt Waldman, who has a terrific eye for talent.

  looking more and more like the pats are in a major decline....Brady is awesome but he cant pass it to himself..they have drafted poorly at the WR spot with all the picks they have had over the past couple of years.

  I'm starting to honestly think this kid makes first team.  It's just a gut feeling but all he has to do is replace Lloyd's production on the outside.  How difficult is that, lol.
