This guy is looking more and more legit and might have moved from a 5th in May to a 3rd in July to a possible late 1st maybe or early-ish 2nd.
I'm not totally sold yet, but he has Brady's trust it seems based on camp reports and it was somewhat evident in the game against the miserable Eagles D.
Curious who you might take him ahead of now.... Dobson? Keenan? Lattimore? Hunter?
I got Gio, Lacy, Bell, Ball, Hopkins, Austin, Patterson, Woods, Eifert, Manual, Michael and Franklin ahead of him. After that, I put Thompkins in the mix against any of the other guys. Anyone there with me yet or too soon?

I'd like to see a little more of Thompkins first. At this moment I think he is more of a mid to late 2nd rounder at best.

He looks legit, I agree. It's early, things change fast, but he is very quick, runs great routes for a rook, and Brady loves him, which is the most important piece. Reminds me of Boldin's rookie year,
A good friend of mine has been attending quite a few of the Pats practices and scrimmages. Whenever I talk to him he continues to say that Thompkins is easily one of the largest standouts in camp and Brady looks to him CONSTANTLY!
His display during the his first preseason debut, while not explosive, confirms what my friend and reporters have been saying while watching him in camp. I'm personally trying to snag him everywhere possible, especially as a dynasty project. He has a very strong chance of putting up legit numbers right out the gate with the Pats lack of WR options and the rapport he is already building with Brady.
I'm trying to see if he can get some video and post them so I can link them here for every at DC to see.
- CJ Spiller will be the #1 RB in 2013
- R. Cobb will finish in the top 5 WRs in 2013
- M. Ball is the #1 RB rookie in 2013
