Hopkins, Patterson, Austin for me.
Hopkins has been my WR1 for this rookie class since before the draft. I admittedly was low on Patterson due to how raw he is, but he's really grown on me, and in one instance I overpaid to acquire him on one of my teams. Austin honestly scares me. It's a combination of him stature and his situation. Not saying his situation is bad, but there are plenty of people out there expecting Austin to be a mid WR2 in PPR this year. I think those owners will be disappointed. STL has a ton of young talent, and to a certain extent I think the will cancel each other out fantasy wise. At least for this season.

For just this year I think Austin still has the best shot to explode, but Patterson is right there, looked amazing last night!garyzab said:Hopkins, Patters, and Austin in that order. I really liked how Hopkins looked as well. I think he will be the passing red zone threat for that team this year pretty easily.

The "raw" Patterson is more than equal to the "polished" Hopkins already, imagine his upside as a 5 tool player that he is! Heck, he might be a 6 tool player!

Why is raw in quotation marks? He is raw, Hopkins is polished, and assuming Patterson is more than equal as an all around receiver is incredibly short sighted at this juncture. Being a receiver is more than just after catch ability.

bdd, I've been on these forums for a few months & I regularly agree with your takes so the 'Patterson hands' comment took me aback. In the games I've seen, Patterson regularly body-catches the ball.

Austin= Harvin type player

I think Dez and Julio are pretty similar players. Both big, powerful WRs. I would say Patterson is similar to their style while Hopkins is more similar to a AJ Green style. Not saying they are as good though.
