About to trade Randle for Allen & Powell | talk me off the ledge!

I am very close to taking a Rueben Randle for Keenan Allen and Bilal Powell swap - Why? I own DAX, Floyd & Ivory! Allen now has a legit shot at being a #2 or #1 by years end - he has the talent, SD short passing game is perfect for Allen etc. etc., Randle is stuck behind 2 legitimate stars and will need an injury to get his, and of course as an Ivory owner, having Powell saves me to a certain extent. And FYI, for those Powell haters - his pace last year based on only 110 carries would have led to over 1300 total yards and 9/10 TD's - very solid numbers should Ivory go down.

Is Randle really that much better than Allen? Why does anyone think Randle will have a better career than Allen? I'm trying to talk myself out of it, but in my gut I really like Allen - one big game and he will be thrust into the spotlight! Randle wasn't spectacular tonight either!

Randle and Allen cross each other out. Both good futures ahead of them. I honestly believe Allen will have the better career. he was suppose to be a 1st round draft pick.

When Ivory is watching Powell from the bench you will be happy you did this...Allen is close to Randle ...so nice deal

I think Allen & Randle are more similar than dissimilar. The wrinkle here is that Nicks may not be brought back to NY next year. I like Eli much more than Rivers. On the other hand, Allen seems to have less obstruction to the starting lineup short term.

I wouldn't trade anything for Powell and I'd rather have randle then Allen.

I think Randle is on the verge of being big time. Allen was supposed to be a 1st round guy, but his injury concerns and the uncertainty of how/when he will be used is enough for me to take Randle.

No way I trade Randle, especially for Powell. He looked like garbage.

I prefer Randle - I don't see the Giants keeping Nicks next year.

I echo the three posts above me. Randle is going to be a stud.

I watched a lot of Allen pre-injury, he didn;t even get seperation from college DBs. he is slow and has no wiggle to make DBs bite. He will have an opportunity, but I'd rather have the NYG #3 than the SD #2 all day, maybe even more than their 1 unless it was a healthy DX, and actually would still rather have Randle.

I also would not trade anything for Powell, he is an inferior talent. Even if he got some PT this year his long term prospects are NIL.

Didn't Cruz breakout with Nicks/Manningham ahead of him? Didn't Steve Smith have 100 catches as the #3 a couple years ago? Doesn't Cruz go into the slot on 3 Wide Sets and the Giants run a LOT of 3 Wide Sets? Didn't Randle look amazing down the stretch last year?
