This is such a polarizing issue and I feel bad for everyone involved. I actually feel worse though for those not involved who have such a strong viewpoint in either direction. The ignorance of our media and our people throughout this whole process has been disappointing. There were only 2 people there, one of them is dead, and both of them will have to deal with their maker for what happened.
Zimmermans brother is on Piers Morgan (who I hate but that's another issue), and made a great point. He said that this happened, and the race card came out, and everyone called for his brothers head, and for him to be arrested and charged, and for him to have his day in court, and that regardless what happened, they would respect the verdict. And now we need to let this go, and move on.

Umm, not talking about the topic at all.. Talking about a NFL player, on some of our Fantasy Football teams making a horrible comment that will likely result in a Fine+...

"The real problem with these arguments is that they are often born of a gridlocked antagonism...each feel the need to defend themselves against the implied criticism of the other's position. They miss the moral nitty-gritty by a wide margin because the issues at stake have become almost tribal: two groups feeling mutually threatened, throwing sticks and bones. This is an unhappy, contaminated forum in which to conduct a reasoned moral discussion."

Enjoy your potential suspension, Roddy. What a dumb thing to say initially regardless of what stance anyone has on that verdict.
DefiantVitreous said:I think it's actually pretty laughable that anyone that has paid any attention to this trial would actually be "shocked" by the verdict. Every single non-biased expert has stated that if the jury follows the law (and not rule on emotion) that Zimmerman would be acquitted of all charges. It's the exact reason why the first attorney general declined to bring up charges. There was no case. For anyone to be "shocked" by the verdict was either not paying attention or is biased along race lines (which in and of itself is racist and ridiculous).
