I'm still at the point if he was ELITE he would be situation proof .. He simply is not and has proven that on two teams.. bust probably not and if I owned him I wouldnt give up. but I am not going to actively pursue him in any league. he is a rb2 in my eyes not the top 5 overall player we thought he was.. is all..

I def dont think hes an elite talent at this point but he can still be a fantasy stud.

This is what constantly goes through my mind. It's so crazy so many cement his long-term value right into place after 2 weeks with a new team, where he has a score in each game. I think he is doing pretty good. Not saying he isn't disappointing us, we don't need a TD in each game as a Colt, we need 100 and a TD... but, given the situation he is in, I just don't see how some don't see some hope let alone a future stud. Hey, it's why we play the game, and I respect everyone's opinion, even if it clashes with my own. No one can land all predictions. I could end up being wrong.

I do believe he is the only back on this list that has changed teams and has had to learn a whole new play book/ offense line blocking scheme.

Great post. Great responses to this post, so not suggesting that anyone's take is wrong, but this post points out some interesting things. And as JR asked, why are so many runners struggling? This could change, we are only 4 weeks in, but it is nuts. Good year to go WR/WR and WR/WR/WR, it was just a matter if you landed those RBs and got some Gio types to go along with the struggling Miller and Wilson types.

My question is why isn't Indy dumping some balls/screens off to TRich yet? Is there some sort of learning curve that I'm missing? Guy has proven hands and it seems simple enough.

Screens are one of my favorite plays to watch if a team knows what they're doing.. (look at Den with DT/ Bills last year with Spiller). Oh and it would certainly increase his value in PPR leagues..

You keep touting the fact that he has a score in each of the last 2 games but one of those scores was from the 1 yard line. He's not exactly ripping off 30 yard TDs.

And then you have those that come out and love to be vocal about someone elses bold prediction when they are wrong when, 1. they never have the guts to make their own predictions for fear of being wrong themselves and 2. never mention anything about the players people get right. Maybe everyone in the industry should just stop researching prospects and trying to get out in front on them because of all the trolls that will call them out later.

That could happen for sure..but at what point do we quit saying he is a stud in the making? he had 20 carries and if not for the tds this thread would be alot worst than it is.. i think guys are upset fromt he fact he was a top 5 pick and is barely producing top 30 numbers...someday he has to produce as the top back we think he is, how long do we give these guys and finally quit making excuse for them. idk?

Thats for every person to decide for themselves. Im going to give him some time in Indy for him to get comfortable and for them to get comfortable with him.

I think we wait longer than 2 games in his new uniform :) Even 3, as again, he faces SEA this week. He the 19th fantasy rusher in most leagues, i just pulled up two of my expert leagues at random and he was 19th in both. He is one big game, let's say he had 120 and 2TDs, from being a 9-12 overall running back.. it happens. So, to answer your question, i dont think anyone's nuts to overreact now, but the same risk (not reacting vs reacting and missing his good swing) is present on all sides. 19th is not what we thought, especially me.. but 1-2 big games and he is back in the mix just like that. It happens all the time.

TRich is #18 in my ppr league 11.42 per game. Higher ranking in non-ppr. Problem is a guy like Thompkins the #24 wr is avg 14.67. #18 Nate Washington is 16.05 per game. Wr scoring is just where it is @.

AJ Green is #11 wr 18.5 per game.

Foster is #8 rb 16.95 per game.

These guys need a few big games to get to the top of production but by no means are any of them considered busts yet....

What list of rb's would you rather have over Trich in redraft or dynasty? My list is pretty short

Again I believe this list speaks for itself. Ap, Charles, McCoy, forte, maybe bush if desperate. That's the only rb one would take over trich. All of the other rb fall into the list above. Difference is all of these guys have spent more then 2 weeks behind their o line in the same playbook.

In. tr case what are going to do rather than what have u done.Smitty/JR I get and undertsand what u guys are saying but the fact is has he really put up rb 1 ever i dont think so..can he sure but facts are so far he is a rb 2 and i am going treat him that way is all. he has had ample time to put up good numbers but against the jags he cannot average more 3 ypc does that chnage idk but history says that is what tr is.. i am not saying sell him but realize he maybe closer to the 15

he was +9 in Dc1 last year which is ppr..950 yards rushing and 350 rec.. so yes borderline 1 i was incorrect. but not a top 5 overall player my apologies that he was drafted to be.

Dynasty is not for me though. If it is for you great. And if youre not in the business of trying to get out front of the next breakout stud then I dont know why you would waste your time on a site like this to begin with...Maybe just to lurk around and criticize every wrong call I guess. Predicting breakouts is not an easy thing to do...if it were wed all win championships every year. Id put Smitty's track record up against anyone's though for sure...especially all the negative trolls on here but they never make bold predictions...just criticize those that do.

hope everyone understand i am not criticizing Smitty's track record at all just expressing my opinion of TR as of now.
