  This is a sleeper move by the Bucs.  Release Freeman knowing he is going to Jacksonville, the Jags win 3 games, while the Bucs win 2 and get Teddy Bridgewater.

  If someone picks him up, don't they have to honor his contract (what is it, $8m next year?)?  If he wants to play, he'll have to renegotiate right now and take a much smaller salary.  If he does that, though, I believe the Bucs are off the hook...probably the only chance they had to get out from under the final guaranteed year of his contract.
