He had to leave the game on Sunday because he has asthma. Apparently it gets worse in the winter. Yeah, good thing he plays for GREEN BAY!!! The coldest stadium out there. Since this appears to be game affecting, should we worry about home matchups week 14 vs ATL and championship week 16 vs PIT??

Nope! Asthma is very manageable in a football atmosphere. There is a kid on my high school football team who has over 1,500 yards right now at a 14.6 ypc..he has asthma. Most games it doesn't affect him at all, if he is ever short of breath, the trainer gets him his inhaler *puff* trots back out- 80 yard td. It's nothing to be worried about
    Bold Predictions:
June 21- Dez Bryant finishes as the #1 WR in 2013.

he may not miss a complete game but if he begins losing touches on a regular basis during "cold" games then you might what to have another option

he'll be fine.  I have asthma which is also cold and exercise induced.  I'm sure hes on a daily steroid type med to start off that works great ( such as Advair) and they will have an inhaler on the sideline and possibly a ventilation machine which they can set up at half time if need be.  Its no big deal at all and I'd be shocked if anyone missed a play or two let alone anything worth noting ( based on how quick it is to use the inhaler and how fast acting they are. )

Don't give it another thought.  I don't and I have been living with it for nearly 40 years.

Asthma means nothing.  i was diagnosed with it, and was so mild that they changed my diagnosis to allergic bronchitis.  I was on an inhaler for 2 years and basically never had to use it.  it's one of the most manageable diseases out there.  absolute worst case scenario he misses a play or two.  plenty of elite athletes have asthma.  I'm pretty sure Donovan Mcnabb had it and he played in Philly outdoors with no issues.

Asthma management is one of my jobs...There are all different levels of asthma so no one cant compare or know exactly how bad his symptoms are. My guess is that if his symptoms are severe they will use a new treatment called bronchial thermoplasty which should keep him from continued missed time. They will prob try maintaining it with meds 1st so could see one or 2 more games where he sits some 1st.

No concerns at all here. The asthma will be more manageable when Rogers gets back.
