I'd almost say go AJ, Julio, then a guy like DeSean, Hilton or Garcon, get a QB, then take some shots on RBs from the 5th on and in the rookie draft. Im sure you could get guys like Woodhead, Pierre Thomas, Sproles, etc from the 5th on and put out a solid team that way in PPR.

I take AJG/Julio and it's not even remotely close. I question the likelihood of someone landing both in a startup though. The mock startup(s) we've done here over the past couple weeks differ greatly from every other mock I've seen over the past month. The top 6 in every other mock has been the 5 stud WRs (Calvin/AJG/Dez/Julio/DT) and McCoy. I definitely think it will be highly unlikely to land AJG/Julio in a startup unless you're trading up to hold 2 top 6-8 picks.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

This year proves that starting to draft WR first is a wise move as we saw that all the top RB's drafted early layer a egg. This wasted early draft picks and left them with garbage as guys that drafted WR's got better value for their pick. RB's are high risk now and WR's are a safer bet to you points in a passing happy NFL.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Russell Wilson, EJ Manuel, Josh Mckown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Andre Johnson, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE J Reed, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

(I'm not a expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!)

As soon as we start going wr/wr, the nfl totally stops throwing the ball. I'm gonna stay the course with rbs haha
    Bold Predictions:
June 21- Dez Bryant finishes as the #1 WR in 2013.

Normally, I would say WR/WR too.  However, if I was fortunate enough to get both Forte and Lynch, there is no way I'm passing that up.  I think both are easy first rounders, even Lynch in PPR.

+1.  probably any other 2 rbs and i'd go the WR route, but if i get these two guys i'll take the top RB scoring for 2 years and worry about wrs down the line.  RBs are still harder to find, thus having more value.

Green is averaging 15 ppg in one of my leagues, there are 14 WRs who are scoring within 2 ppg from him at least 13 ppg.

Forte and Lynch are averaging 17-18 ppg.  There's only 5 other rbs averaging more than 15, one of them being Knowshon Moreno who doesn't have much dynasty value

Im almost ready to draft WRs and TEs before RBs unless I can get McCoy or Charles and wait on QBs too.

Hard to disagree considering the year we've been having

If you can get 2 stud RBS, I think you take it.  WRs are more depenable, but the position is also deep.
    QB: Brady, Kaepernick
RB: McCoy, Miller, Stacy,F. Jackson, Lattimore, R. Jennings, Gerhart, L. Murray
    WR: Cruz, Blackmon, Gordon, Jeffery
    TE: J. Thomas

Will have to drop to 12 before draft

did we all not think spiller/martin/TR/ would be studs? I think the thing we need to look at is the proven RB/players over a few years and not be taking potential breakouts early again. That is were I lost this season is banking on one year wonders or breakout players and none of them did or repeat the past success. I will be looking at proven guys in the future..

Yeah...Hard to tell who the stud RBs will be anymore. WRs are more reliable for top picls in this pass 1st RBBC NFL.

I can't see a scenario in a PPR league where a team could acquire both AJG and Julio.  To me, they are locked in as top 5 or top 8 picks.  Personally, I have Julio as my #1 ranked dynasty player with AJG at number 2 or 3, depending on how I feel about Gronk/Graham at year end.  McCoy/Lynch is somewhat possible given Lynch's possible final year with SEA.

A more realistic comparison might be AJG/Cobb (or VJax type) versus Shady/Lynch.  Those players seem more representative of what would be available with a 1st and a 2nd in a startup.
    TEAM 1 - Dynasty PPR, start 1 QB / 2 RB / 2 WR / 1 TE / 1 FX
    QB - Brees/Luck
    RB - Lynch(Michael,Turbin)/Stacy/Martin/Spiller/Tate
    WR - Megatron/Julio/Dez/Keenan/Rueben/Cordarelle
    TE - Graham/Julius

Exactly my problem this year too. RBs killed me in every league

But at what point is someone proven? For example, we've known forte and McCoy were pretty good, but we didn't know if we could trust them in their new situation. We though spiller and trich were more proven in their situations going into the year...

the only thing that swayed my thinking on McCoy and Forte was forte age and McCoy concussion history.. I think we all knew McCoy was a potential stud in that offense proven in that offense no and he could have vey well disappointed be he didn't forte with a change of OC I believe was called by several Dc members as a stud in PPR for sure..spiller did it one year but also was going into a new coaching change and TR was as well they both basically laid an egg more on the coaching in buffalo were marrone said he would wear the wheels off of spiller but didn't nothing he said he was going to do with spiller and TR was used but failed to produce and still isn't..

Proven IMHO is someone that has done it over more than a couple of years..can coaches changes affect them sure look at McCoy and what happen this year. but in redraft I will be looking for proven vets..in startup I will be looking for proven vets mixed in the latter rounds of young guys with potential but I wont be banking on the break guys any more..something I did this past year and I paid the price..does one have to take chances yes but not in the top rds of drafts I think they should be gambled on in the latter rounds or let others take that chance in rds 2 and 3..were miller/Wilson/ were being taken..just a change in my drafting from here on out and rbs are no longer the prized producers they once were in this passing NFL of today..studs wrs and te along with a very good qb seems to be a winning formula with a few rb2 will higher upsides...
