I have a 2014 top 5 pick, and I'm thinking about going after Reed.  How should he be valued in picks?

I'd keep the pick...will be worth much more than Reed when the draft looms nearer...

Good advice, I'll keep the pick until draft time.

Reed seems to have all the makings of a great dynasty TE though.  He's doing fantastic as a rookie TE (pretty rare), has great talent, and has RGIII throwing to him (I still think RGIII recovers).

I agree with keeping the pick until the draft.

One more for keeping the pick. I bet come draft day, Reed would only be worth the tail end of the 1st round, not top 5. I like Reed a lot too, so this is no knock on him.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

    I'd give a late 1st, but not a top 5.

I agree, if he levels out you can probably pick him up for a 2nd in a 1 te league. Te's are under valued and everyone will over value picks at draft time.

I agree that TE's are under valued.. The game is continually shifting towards athletic TEs who can make plays in the passing game like Reed.  I just wouldn't give up a first round pick for a guy that in all likelihood will be in the 60-70 yds and score TDs sporatically.   He's def way more valuable in PPR and TE bonus leagues, but feel like I could get replacement level production next year from a guy like Ladarius Green.  Who wouldn't demand a first round price tag.

OP didn't post this, but this a slight TE premium league. 1.25TE PPR, start 1-3 TE's . We're league mates in this league. :)

Something tells me Reed is going to be a headache with injuries. Just a gut feel, although it seems he always gets shooken up when im watching a game. Maybe that's just a coincidence though
