Does taking on these "old guys" help me in a title push?

I'm the #1 overall seed with a 1st round bye. PPR with TE premium, start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR. 1TE, 2Flex. This is a team that I started rebuilding the WRs this year, and I'm planning on rebuilding the rest of the team next year, so I'm very hesitant to take on all these older players and give up youth/picks. Is the value too good though? The only piece of value Id be giving up really is Hilton. Thoughts?

    Give: Hilton/Marlon Brown/Dennis Johnson/2014 2nd (from playoff team)

    Get: Rice/Andre Johnson/Colston

    Roster

    Peyton/Flacco

    Lynch/Murray/Rainey/Johnson/Cunningham/Leshoure/Turbin/Denard

    AJG/DJax/Hilton/Douglas/MarBrown/Durham/McCluster/Roberts/Sanders

    Olsen/Gates/Fauria/Bostick

    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

Houston is in turmoil and rice has had like what, 1 or 2 good games all year? Neither of those guys are on my list of people to target..I'd pass
    Bold Predictions:
June 21- Dez Bryant finishes as the #1 WR in 2013.

I would do that trade to win a title.

Titles are hard to win. If it helps you win it all I make the deal.

Absolutely not in my book. You have a great receiving core for the future and are taking on 2 wrs who have a couple years left at most who you might not even start over who you have now. Ray probably bounce back potential and a few years left, but is he really gonna help you this year? I understand the choice to go for the title this year when you have a chance to win, but to me you aren't really improving enough to give up Hilton and a 2nd.

Are you kidding me?? Firstly his great receiving core only consists of AJ Green, Desean Jackson and TY Hilton. You can't say Harry Douglas because the minute Roddy and Julio get healthy, Douglas becomes an after thought.

Dennis Johnson and Marlon Brown have done NOTHING. A 2014 2nd round pick is a lottery pick. The only loss here is Hilton.

What you get in return? Andre Johnson in a PPR league. Andre is 4th in the league in receptions. Sure Colston is having a poor year but he's more productive than both Brown and Dennis J. He also plays for the league most consistent highest scoring offence.Lastly you get a RB2 at worst in Ray Rice who is also a PPR gem. Ray Rice is still the engine for the Ravens, and they'll fix the O-line and get him going again.

    Come on Donvaughn....

Easy guy. To each his own. It's good to have multiple perspectives. The man said he wants to rebuild. So that's the way I approached it. Deandre and Stills are clearly the future replacements for Andre and Colston. So you got a couple years most left in the tank for those guys. I agree Marlon Brown and Dennis Johnson have done nothing. I'm not even considering them as part of the deal. 2nd round pick is not money, but a decent value pick. The way I break the trade down is Hilton and a 2nd for Andre, Colston, and Rice.

I know those are sexy names, but when you consider his lineup. AJG, DJAX, HILTON. That's a core of young wrs I'd love to keep together. You add an AJ or MC and it gives you depth at flex, but not good for rebuilding. I guess I'm higher on Hilton that most. I see him as a perennial 100catch guy with a stud qb. Rice definitely makes sense to me because your adding a guy you can start, but are you expecting much out of him this year? Pierce ain't going anywhere either. I guess in the end if you want to win now, take the trade and add the depth to your roster for the playoff stretch. Maybe upgrading your flex starts wins you a championship, maybe it doesn't. If you want to rebuild, consider you're losing a potential young WR1 for a couple of "old guys"  and bounce back candidate for the future.

Half your argument was agreeing with what I said. Why continuously keep rebuilding when you have a chance at winning? Isn't that the point?

I dont even see this as a rebuild vs win now issue. Hilton/2nd for Andre/ R Rice/Colston is just stupid value regardless of where you are with your team.

To me this is like saying that youd rather have a pound of silver than a pound of gold if you dont take this deal. Andre is over 1000 yards right now. Rice is only 26 too and my guess is he turns it around. If nothing else I turn around and use these 3 players to upgrade elsewhere is 3 more deals.

its amazing how differently we all value players...I wouldn't trade you ray rice for all that let alone throw in andre and colston....who am I undervaluing here? Hilton?...the #2 wr on the ravens?...dennis Johnson?....seems like big bunch of junk for elite players
