Thoughts on Tavon?

Where does everyone see his ceiling being? Showed explosion in the return game but opportunities were rare in the passing game. Does that improve with time? Had a huge game versus the colts. Can get behind defenses quickly. Thoughts on him?

I honestly don't want to own any Ram not named Tre Mason. That includes Austin. There were a boat load of guys here saying he's the 1.01... Well now he's almost forgotten. They need a new QB badly.

I was against Tavon as a 1.01 rookie last year and that proved to be true. However, I think Tavon is a nice post hype sleeper type of player. He showed flashes of what he could do on the field last year, despite being horribly utilized (when he was utilized at all). I think he'll be a value this year, but temper expectations. I still don't think he'll warrant last year's 1.01 rookie pick, but I do think he'll outproduce his current market value. He either needs out of STL or STL needs a new OC before I think Tavon can truly live up to his initial hype.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

I still like his potential.  He has some monster games last year.  Hopefully having some other receiving threats will help open things up for him.  He's not a bad buy low candidate, however I wouldn't count on him as being more then an inconsistent WR3.

I had little faith in him coming out...I have less now. I thought the rams were idiots for picking him so early.
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

I'm a Rams fan it was the most disappointed I have been since Jason Smith.  I wanted Cordelle Patterson bad, and we traded an extra second to move up.

People had Tavon at 1.1????  Really?  I must of missed that whole boat.  I was always Gio and people argued with MBall but I don't remember Tavon coming up.

Anyways I see him being inconsistent but having big games.  I don't see him as a guy you can just keep in your lineup ever.  I think the Rams offense is going to surprise this year.  It is the first time they have really given Bradford a OLine with depth.

i had montee at 1-01Idrafted him there looking pretty good now..lol... austin never big on him just as i am not that big on cook same kind of player.if you have a return yardage league he will be gold as all those cobb/austin/cook kind of players are.

If the rams had taken CP they would be contenders for their division right now...not winning it, but they'd be a heck of a lot closer. Maybe even jumping the cards

Montee value is a lot higher than I predicted it would be.  I ended up with him at the end of the year in a couple leagues so I hope he pans out.  Gio is still better though and about ready to dominate PPR. :P

Lets change the subject I'm going to get all worked up again.LOL  I think Rams could make a run at the division this year, their D is solid and they never have had problems hanging with people in division.  I think SF implodes this year, lot of drama.

I personally disagree. The Rams got more problems than just one WR. An over rated corner, a disappointment in QB play. Either he can't stay healthy or he can't get the playbook. They finally got themselves a running game after the post S-Jax era and that TE they spent a fortune on is mediocre at best. In time CP will be dominant. But he barely changed the Vikings year, wouldn't have fazed he Rams. Cards are remarkably under rated btw.

This....and yes I saw him rated and go as 1.01 in a lot of leagues. The guy has generational speed/shimmy combo...and although I thought he was going too high as well, I think he will have a long and fruitful career in mutliple capacities.

Speed Kills, it took the NFL longer than college to figure this out (Bobby Bowden BABY!!GO NOLES!!), but guys like Tavon (and there are almost none FULLY like him) will always have a place. With all they invested in him you don't think he has a personal trainer and dietitian bulking him up and strengthening him up right now?

I also think Bradford is a huge sleeper, A lot of his injury concern seems to be of the freak variety, the guy is strong and makes all the throws, his team believes in him, and he has a TON of weapons and an improved OLine.....

This division is just SO DIRTY....Cardinals losing Washington is huge....I can see STL finishing behind SEA and making the playoffs unless ARZ can put up 50 every week.....not unless they realize what they have in Housler!!

    Stacy
    Cunningham
    Mason

    Austin
    Britt
    Givens
    Cook
    Kendricks

    A lot of weapons.....

LoL Lance Kendricks. He's so 2012... More than 50% of the names mentioned have broken fantasy hearts for multiple years. I remember the first time I played with fire. I learned not to do it again.

I agree the Cards Def will step back a notch without washinton and dansby...two unproven there as of now..i own Minter and hope he steps up but i dont see him being a washington..

i still love bradford(but can see why anyone would doubt him especially against the division he is in ).. injuries yes but also nobody around including no o-line and different offense the first 3 years..

Austin Pettis was their best wr last year & could be cut for cap space.

Tavon should be more involved & see him emerging as a solid wr3 play w upside big games.  IM buying on the cheap if I can.

Kendricks was hyped rookie, didn't perform immediately, showed upside last year in spite of big time TE signing Cook.

Cook disappointed, but the whole team did, he still has a lot of talent.

Givens is a lot like Keenan Allen, as he came into the League as a good route runner with good long speed, but very little projection left, they lacked any true possession receiver or explosiveness last year so they could leave the safety deep to close him in.

Austin was a rookie last year and disappointed because of overhype.

Stacy and Cunningham were rookies last year and Stacy outperformed expectations and Cunningham played amazingly and exceedingly well when given the rock.

    Mason has yet to play.

Can you tell me how 50% of the names have disappointed for "years"? Are you adding all the years up, taking out the RBs, and dividing by number of players....what is this secret algorithm you have devised in the WTCM cave? :-)
