Miller vs. Moreno

If only the coach could get Injured and be replaced before the season started then I might have interest in Miller.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Nick Foles, Russell Wilson, Josh McCown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE Z Ertz, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

(I'm not a expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!)

Lamar Miller - RB - Dolphins
Lamar Miller has worked with the Dolphins' first-team offense for three weeks in a row.

"He's had a very good camp,"
said coach Joe Philbin. "This is the time as a third-year player that you're ready to make a big contribution." Per beat writer James Walker, Miller is "making more big plays in the running game" than Knowshon Moreno, "who appears to be working his way into shape." We noticed earlier Monday another beat writer tweet Miller was handling first-team reps with Miami's red-zone offense. With a current 12th-round ADP, Miller has a chance to be a fantasy value pick in new playcaller Bill Lazor's run-based attack.

Man, I know I heard this somewhere before....   Oh yeah, LAST year about this time...

Of course Miller went on to get a bit cocky near the end of training camp, fumbled on like, his first carry in pre-season and went on to not dazzle (ALL the coach's fault, of course).....    And that was with Daniel Thomas as the guy he needed to establish himself over.....

Say what you will about Knowshon, but he's a LOT better than Thomas...   I'm guessing Miami muddles through with their current roster and drafts their RB of the future in the 2015 draft....
NON-PPR, 6pt TD Pass, Return Yards Count, Start 1-3 RBs
QB - Brees, RG III, Cousins
RB - L Bell, Z Stacy, CJ Spiller, A Brown
WR - Marshall, J Nelson, Jeffrey, R Cooper, Hopkins, Harvin, D Rogers, G Whalen
    TE - J Cook, K Rudolph
    K - Bailey, Dawson
    D - Seattle, NY Jets

How great is it to be the starter and carries the rock 9 times? Gaining love or not, they don't know how to utilize there talent to the fullest. Which is the main reason they're always on the losing end.

Looks like the Miller love is gaining some steam.

Good thing I only used a FA pickup last year and can hold onto him for nothing.

He was the #1 crush here last offseason...I don't think he ever lost that much steam here.

Oh he lost plenty of steam, everyone has given up on him. So yes you could say he is gaining steam now again.

The wavering is light at best.

Moreno was the #5 back in the league on an extremely pass heavy offense last year is 26 and doesn't have a lot of mileage....and the majority is voting that Miller starts over him...the majority of voters here are saying he is going to be better than the #5 back from last year who is coming with no injury, discipline, ability, nor usage issues?

That's everyone giving up on him? Eek!

I like me some hyperbole, don't get me wrong, but it seems his hype here has already climbed and is ready to surpass last season's!

Did Manning go to MIA and say he wants Miller starting? We can go the hypothetical route infinite ways.

It absolutely HAS to be factored in what they did last year and their situations...I have seen the phrase "but rookie WRs almost never have big seasons" and similar statements used ad nauseum, We have to use patterns and history to provide accurate assessments.

I don't expect anything, I was actually doing the little bit of playing squasher of expectations, not quite to the level of peeing in one's cornflakes as it were, but I put my doubt on his lofty expectations last year based on my eye test, and he couldn't beat out underwhelming competition last year...a little fluky, perhaps, did he look awful at times last year? Definitely. Is it ridiculous to think a team that wants to pass more and brought in a great all around back that finished #5 in RB scoring last year and is still in his prime with a great pedigree will be the starter as expected...I may be wrong, but the assertion is not ridiculous, it would be general consensus and I am here to provide my take and a little reality for those who re impressionable and come here more for advice and information.

It would be great if he was top 5 again though, but that's nowhere near the point...top 25 would supremely oust anything Miller has shown.

The backing off of Miller and Wilson for that matter has nothing to do with talent for me anyway. Who could have thought that there would be childish drama in Miami that would decimate the O line or that Wilson would develop spinal stenosis? Miami is a complete mess and I dont want any player from there.

Just before the start of last season

Gore said Miller was the fastest back in the league and peeps went crazy! The O line is still sub par in Miami but I don't see any reason outside of an injury that Miller doesn't finish as the fantasy back in Miami.
