I havent' seen one in person, but it looks cool. When my 60 inch LG plasma goes shot, hopefully this will be down to an affordable price.

Gimmick, Just like the 3D TVs they were trying to force feed us. Flat screens are still the gold standard.

The price is just stupid, no way I pay much more, if at all, but I think it could be a norm eventually... I tried to hate it but after seeing it, the curved look only makes sense and flat feels one dimensional now.

I was totally not sold on 3d - ever. The only 3d that will catch will be a curved that projects using the curved screen. No glasses is the only 3d that ever stays IMO.

I still have the old tube style!  I am currently renting my place out (furnished) to some professional video-game players and they laughed when they saw my tv!

totally in agreement with you that it's like the 3D TV's. If you ask me it limits everyone in the room to see the whole screen if your sitting to the side of the TV. If there trying capture what a IMAX theatre feels like it won't even come close so why bother!
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Nick Foles, Russell Wilson, Josh McCown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE Z Ertz, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

I somewhat agree. If you are spending $8 grand on a TV though you are going to have the right size TV for the room and set your seating accordingly so everyone has a good vantage point. I think in the right theater room with that right size TV it could be amazing. If you dont take those things into consideration then it would be pointless to consider.

How can you hang a curved tv on a wall?  The stories about people running into the edges and the tv's falling off the wall are going to come fast and furious.

@defiantvitreous good question. I bet it has enough of it that's flat on the back that the 4 screws are not on any curved part of the TV. But, you bring up a great point, it would be sweet to design a wall that was curved exactly like the TV... build the wall around the TV? That would look sweet.

You know one day your wall will be your TV! Like in the original Total Recall movie, some how some way if you can dream it they can make it!

Yeah that or hologram or projector hologram morph.

I mean they are already making fairly high quality projectors connected to the internet (smart boards in school) I would guess that a projected screen with nothing but a wall required isn't too far off
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

Yeah, that's kinda my thinking, that Projectors make a quick comeback before hologram TVs emerge. Soon, you will have a TV space that is like feet deep, and you'll be yelling "get out of the TV" when someone is walking buy with the dirty close hamper. :) But, that could be 5+ years away. I think 3d without classes will be next through some multi screen TV (layers of screens).. who knows, though. Curved makes sense, though, i bet that sticks somehow until they all are just like all TVs became wide.
