NEWS: Lance Dunbar a monster sleeper in 2014?

I've been calling Dunbar a sleeper since the end of the 2013 season. Good to see others finally getting on board with him. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

Y'all have changed my opinion enough to consider him. Roster space is tight in this league. 30 man. 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 flex 1 K 2 DL 2 LB 2 CB 2 S. Scoring is fairly balanced between offense & defense. If Murray goes down, I don't know if Dunbar will be a better RB option than CJ.5K, Rice/Pierce & Jennings. I feel I need to use my roster space in other areas.

What receivers, backup TEs, DSTs do you have? Do you have 3QBs or 3TEs? Are TEs usually available for byes? If so, who is your back up TE and is he worth dropping for now?

    Luck
    Murray
    Jennings
    Rice
    Pierce
    CJ.5K
    L Murray
    Garçon
    Decker
    Hilton
    T Williams
    S Hill
    Orange Julius
    Graham
    Prater
    Hardy
    Levy
    David
    J Jenkins
    Barron
    Bethea

I can't cut L Murray until after the draft and can't cut S Hill until after the season. I have a first, second & fourth round rookie picks.

I'd probably cut LMurray after the draft then and grab Dunbar. I doubt anyone scoops him up unless more news breaks on him, or Murray gets banged up between now and your draft.

I don't think this news vanishes J. Randle he will get another shot after a below average showing his rookie season. That being said Dunbar is one of the most entertaining backs in the league to watch. I'd rather take a flier on JStew in redraft

That's definitely possible. I never have liked Randle though. As a Murray owner last year, I had an owner continuously try to sell me Randle. I was never interested.

Hmmm....I saw comparisons to joique bell's usage last year...but it seems like he's much more of a Reggie bush type back. I'd it possible that Murray turns into a joique bell type role and Dunbar to a bush role? That is very optimistic..but I've just sold myself on him this year haha

    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

Dunbar was very, very productive in college. Broke all kinds of records. His smallish frame had teams scared off, so he went undrafted, but he can be a force (but probably wouldn't have a long career is all). Murray is the starter, but if he gets hurt, watch out. If he doesn't, Dunbar will still be that guy you wish you started as a flex some weeks.

Yeah that got weird.  Inconsistencies in predictions/who people like can get people in a tizzy pretty easily when pointed out.  That's cool though.  I just took off my blinders and flipped a coin.  It landed on heads, which means to pass on Dunbar.  So, I'd recommend passing on Dunbar because he is a backup HB and went undrafted.  Thanks.

He's in a great situation but I don't trust him to be anything more than a COP back. The same goes for Williams, so the cowboys will need Murray big time this year.

With Dallas having the top O line and perhaps the worst defense in the league, you can bet this will set up many shoot outs. He's a real nice sleeper to have.

I honestly don't even think Dallas has a top 5 O-line. For me, Cleveland, Denver, Tennessee, Seattle, Green Bay and NO are leaps and bounds ahead. I of course can be wrong.

I gotta agree with you here...I'd also throw SF and Jets up there as well.

Might be a silly question, but does that mean you'd put KRob ahead of Dunbar?

Good question. Both in similar situations but I'd give a slight edge to Dunbar now. His D is not very good and the O will get plenty of possessions.
