Mobile and a great passer. Eli Manning or even Aaron Rodgers mold of QB.

Trying really hard not to be a homer, but I'm buying the hype.  I really do see a lot of Peyton in Luck, especially in that his greatest asset will be above the shoulders.  I would compare him to Rodgers and Ryan.

I'll be honest, I'm not too sure what to make of him yet. I think I will know more after draft day, where he lands, etc. I think top 5-10QB of the future is reasonable, no question, and the upside is there for more if in the right spot... that's the kicker, where he lands.

  • Not a current NFL passer, but Luck's game reminds me of John Elway.

footballjunkie: First off, so excited to see you here. Second, interesting comparison. I can't wait to see him sling it.

  • Thanks Smitty!  Elway's arm is/was a little stronger but Luck makes up for that with great anticipation... Luck's arm is plenty strong.  Both Elway and Luck have/had great pocket presence and mobilty.

Im not sure just yet but he reminds me a bit of Eli. I don't think he is as mobile as rodgers
  • Tim Tebow.... ;)
OK, just funnin'.  In terms of a "passer", it seems like Matt Ryan is his floor, while his ceiling is somewhat debatable.  I think his release is quite a bit quicker than Ryan's, but velocity, strength and accuracy seem comparable to me.  As an athlete on the football field, there is no comparison between the two though.

    lol

Ryan is a decent comparison, and I think he can be a lot better too. Great comparison, though, IMO.

    Kurt Warner agrees.

That's the first name that popped into my head.  People don't think that Luck has a good arm, but he does:
