Looks like Steve Smith finishes his career in Carolina.  From PFT:

The Panthers confirmed to Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer that they’ve extended Smith for at least four more seasons. Smith’s agent says the new deal goes through the 2015 season with an option for 2016. Smith turns 33 next month, so this deal could be the last contract he ever signs.

What's this guy's value in redraft and dynasty?  Seems to me he has plenty of life left and I think he is very undervalued right now, particularly in dynasty.
  • He's no longer the shiny new toy. He's more like the little engine that could. ya gotta ride that train 'til the wheels fall off.

Redraft you get him as WR2

Dynasty he's your WR2/3 for a couple of years

most peoples lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of those around you

what if you have a higher expectation for yourself than those you associate with?

That sounds about right, especially if Carolina continues to miss on the #2 and #3 wrs.
  • I like him in redraft this year but you have to think Carolina gets their shinny new WR1 in the near future.  I expect similar numbers to last season or a slight bump downwards.

  • I'd peg him at around early to mid 5th rd in a 12 team dynasty startup, right before guys start reaching for rookie RBs or mid-tier QBs

About right.....I was going to say 5th or 6th round.  If you get him as your #2, you will be very happy.  I see him producing WR1 numbers for a 2nd straight year.
