Well if you compare what they will do this year to what their production was last year it has to be Murray. Tough to say Julio as long as Tony G and Roddy are still there so its down to Murray and Mathews. I think Mathews is the safer pick but Murray has more elite potential upside.

I think they both have elite upside potential, Mathews & Murray. But Mathews has Norv Turner as the head coach looking to ride Mathews to the promised land. Close between Mathews and Murray, I'm going with Mathews though.

Yeah I agree. Thats why I said Mathews is the safer pick. But Murray has more home-run potential IMO. His ceiling is a bit higher than Mathews but his floor is prob also lower.

  • Mathews was one of my top breakout players last year(2011).  He was solid, but damn Tolbert got in the way, lol.  So now that Tolbert is long-gone, I have to stick with Mathews.

Yeah, can't wait to see if he takes off now that Tolbert is gone.

I have a feeling San Diego is going to draft a complimentary back next week.

I think Murray is the rb that has the biggest breakout. Mathews will improve on last year. And Julio will put up very good numbers, but will lose just enough targets and receptions to White and Gonzo to not competely "break out"   I think Julio will be huge in 2013.

All 3 are going to be solid.  I think Mathews is due to explode and the situation is ripe for him especially with VJax moving on.  I don't see Mathews sneaking up on anybody though in redraft leagues, he will go high.  Murray might be a better value possibly late first/early second.  If healthy could put up simular numbers.

Julio Jones though if he can stay healthy is a straight beast.  When I watched him last year he really stood out more than I was expecting.  His ability to get verticle was more than noticable even on plays not thrown to him.  The Falcons actually imo didn't look very organized last year at times and could really improve this year learning from last years mistakes and build of their new strengths.  Matt Ryan looked lost at times and I really don't want to blame him and I don't want to blame the coaches cause I respect all parties but just overall they looked out of rythm most of the year(lockout hang over maybe).  I think Matt Ryan could really come out like gang busters and you have to respect Roddy underneath.  So I like Julio as the breakout canidate for value.

I don't trust Adam Schefter and neither should you!!!

most peoples lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of those around you

what if you have a higher expectation for yourself than those you associate with?

The BIGGER breakout to be is Murray!!  As long as he's playing.

I like Murray more, but I think San Diego gives Mathews a huge workload which means he will have the better breakout season.

I think Mathews is the top spot, but Julio is going to give him a run for his money. All of the comments about Murray having huge, huge upside are right on, but the bust factor also makes me think he is the third player of these three. That's not last place, as I have all three going nuts in 2012! Being third in this group is just fine! And again, if Murray avoids the downsides, which includes how Dallas uses him, the sky is the limit.

I'd go Cam at 6 as well. I'm in the same spot, except my league is a redraft. Since my league is a redraft, I'm actually looking to trade out of the pick. Trying to pick up a couple of earlier rounds.

Actually at 6 there will prob be someone even better. Rodgers might even be there.
