What happened at FFX forums?

    I have loved and benefited from the FFX forums for several years.  I am not nearly the year round diehard some of you are -- I see some familiar usernames, and I'm glad I found you! But in recent months the chatter has been few and far between at FFX and I'm wondering what happened -- not trying to bash anyone so please don't take my my comments as negative just wondering what happened (I am a recovering WCOFFer so consider me overly sensitive to these things :)

    either way, I am excited I found DC because I have been relying on Smitty, JRMRRT, GlassJoe and many others I see here to keep my hobby addiction profitable.

    Smitty, Tav, X and JRMRRT still post there some. I have not been there for a few weeks.

    Essentially there was a changing of the guard and the site seems to be going down hill like a land slide. 

    Smitty has parted amicably, which is why he is still a mod there. But, this has become the new home for most of us

    Glad you found us lummox. We have tried to PM some of the guys who are still at FFX. That seems to have some issues

    Has anyone noticed how slow that site is running, particularly if you try to PM someone?

    Tav is still there posting away. He is doing a great job. I have faith in those guys still running FFX and I think they will still provide a great product. I still contribute there with spotlights, and will throughout the remainder of the year.

    Of course, this proves once and for all that it's a memorable screen name that's important rather than the actual advice one dispenses out (at least in the case of the last name mentioned - it also helps if the guy was a fan of Mike Tyson's Punchout, in this case ... though I chose my name after the arcade version Punchout, not the Nintendo bastardization Mike Tyson's Punchout).

    As for what happened, I'm just as clueless and was only lucky enough to find my way here because I'm in a league of FFXers, so naturally the topic came up at MFL.  Glad I'm here, though....this site looks like it will be THE go-to site for FFB info.  Smitty is a bad, bad man (bad as in good, not bad as in bad).

    Hey, I got Sproles, BMarshall, A.Hernandez for Calvin and two 7th round picks (Sow ended up trading up the the late 6th for Greg Little and got D.Keller with the late 7th rounder).  Traded ended up being Calvin/Little/Keller for Marshall/Sproles/AHern in a 16-team league where starters will be at a premium.  I've regretted many trades...this is not one of them.  Trading back from 4.3 in D2 and not getting Sproles in that league....that's a trade I regret.

    I traded Marshall to you, didn't I?...chalk up another one in the "regret" column.  Let's see...BMarshall/A.Bradshaw/4.6 for M.Austin/4.3/4.4.....I remember that now.  Nuke was sitting at 4.5 without a QB so I traded up to get Matty Ice at 4.3 and A.Brown (who I still love) with the 4.4.  So BM/Bradshaw/R.Bush (4.6) for M.Austin/M.Ryan/A.Brown.....that one is okay, but I'd definitely take BM over Austin right now, and that's what I made you do to make the deal happen.  Sheesh!  Please tell me he was still a Dolphin when we made this trade....X(
