Alright kids, here we go again.

    JRMRRT
    QBs - Stafford, Flynn
RBs - Gore, Wells, Addai, Benson, Fannin, A.Green, L.Miller, I. Pead, Rainey, D.Thomas
WRs - Julio, Marshall, Decker, Childs, Jernigan, McNutt, R.Moss, Sanu
    TE-s Finley, Gates

My thoughts - JR started his draft with Stafford, landing him at 1.11, which is great value for a 24 year-old QB who threw for 5000 yards and 41 tds last season, and locking down this position for many years to come.  The RB position is definitely the weak spot of this team, JR needs both Gore and Wells to stay healthy for his team to remain competitive, which might be asking a lot considering their injury history.  The rest of the group is young for the most part and has a lot of potential.  JR might need Pead to step up sooner rather than later.  This is a great group of WRs with Julio, Marshall and Decker, and is really the focal point of this team.  Julio is primed to step out of Roddy's shadow.  Marshall is knifing his way up draft boards, and Decker should enjoy a breakout season with Peyton at the helm.  But after the top 3, there isn't much depth unless Randy Moss comes to play.  At TE, JR boasts Finley and Gates, one of which will most likely be his flex.

Outlook - JR should be very competitive season 1, but his future success depends on his ability to find long term replacements for Gore and Gates.  There are a lot of young players on this team, so JR is hedging his bets that he will have some future starters ready to go, when his older vets are put out to pasture.

    TBL
QBs - Luck, Freeman, Kolb, Sanchez
RBs - Foster, Charles, Blount, Herron, Leshoure, Tolbert, J.White
WRs - Austin, Andre Johnson, Hartline, Manningham, David Nelson, Shipley, Toon, Mike Williams
TEs - V.Davis, Egnew, Fleener, Keller

My Thoughts - TBL is gambling on a rookie named Luck to lead this team.  If Luck doesn't pan out, the rest of this group are could give him headaches.  Freeman is a nice QB2 with upside, if he can rebound from last season.  I really like these two starting RBs.  Getting Foster at 1.3, is a steal in my mind, and if Charles can recover fully from his knee injury, these two will be giving the rest of DC1 fits.  The depth at RB is interesting.  Leshoure might be facing a multi-game suspension from Fuhrer Goddell.  And Blount has fallen out of favor with pretty much everyone except for TBL.  Austin and AJ are a nice one-two punch at WR, but there seems to be a big drop off after that with Manningham and Mike Williams filling out the WR3 and Flex positions.  Williams really disappointed last season, and perhaps he is better served as a secondary target on the Bucs.  While Manningham downgraded his QB from Eli to Alex Smith.  The guy to watch on the bench is Shipley, who could end up being ppr gold.  TBL drafted 5 TEs, but was able to trade Graham during the draft.  While I like V.Davis, I think TBL might have over done it by selecting 2 more TEs in the middle rounds.

Outlook - I'm a little confused by this team, there are a lot of win now aspects, like trading Graham and picks for Andre Johnson and picks, and then there is a rookie at QB.  Foster, Charles, Austin, A.Johnson and V.Davis will keep TBL competitive, but there are holes at WR3 and the Flex position in my mind.  Not to mention, TBL could get off to a slow start with Luck and might need Freeman to step up.  This team could surprise, but I'm not sure if there is enough fire power right now for it to challenge for the championship.

    FootballJunkie
QBs - Vick, Big Ben, Ponder
RBs - McFadden, Turner, Greene, Starks, Ivory, Goodson
    WRs - Fitz, Jennings, Steve Smith (car), V.Brown, R.Cobb, Holmes, M.Jones, D.Posey, D.Williams
    TEs - Celek, Pitta, Cameron

My Thoughts - Do I really need to break this down?  Junkie has already proclaimed himself the preseason champion.  Anyhow here it goes.  Vick is solid QB coming off a bad year.  2010 Vick was a fantasy MVP candidate, 2011 Vick was a guy you probably should have kept on your bench.  Vick is always an injury concern, so Junkie was smart to get a solid back up in Big Ben.  Speaking of injury concerns, Junkie's RBs are headed by the uber-talented, ultra-brittle McFadden.  After that there is Old Man Turner, and S. Greene at RB2 and FLEX.  I think think this is really a make or break season for Greene.  I'm very surprised the Jets didn't add another RB to challenge him, but I really think that if he doesn't produce this year, he won't be back next.  Surprise, Surprise Junkie drafted Starks.  Junkie put together a nice group of WRs, with Fitz, Jennings and S. Smith(car).  Celek could be a sleeper at TE, most people remember his dreadful 2010, while overlooking his stellar finish to 2011, where he averaged over 14 pts per game over the last 11 games.

Overall - Junkie is all in for year 1, and he has a very solid team that could certainly make a run for the championship.  But the injury concerns of Vick and McFadden added to the age of Turner and Steve Smith, doesn't make me love this team as much as Junkie loves this team.

    Troy Polamalyourass
    QBs- Brady, Flacco, Mallett
    RBs - R.Rice, MJD, S.Jackson, Brinkley, R.Jennings, McGahee, Polk, R.Williams
    WRs - Colston, S.Johnson, R.Wayne, B.Quick, Criner, Garcon, E.Sanders
    TEs - Pettigrew, Daniels, M.Lewis

My Thoughts - What's not to like about Tom Brady.  He's one of the best QBs in the league, he has a hot wife and he played his college ball at Michigan.  Brady still has a few elite years left in him, and I think he's got a chip on his shoulder coming off a Super Bowl loss.  Flacco should be fine as a bye week fill in.  Ray Rice and MJD are a great pair of RBs especially in a ppr league.  S.Jackson should provide hopefully another year of service and will function as a very solid flex option.  Colston and S.Johnson are great value WRs for being drafted in rounds 4 and 5.  I do worry about Colston and the number of knee surgeries he's had over the years, so he may breakdown sooner than the typical WR.  Between Quick, Wayne and Garcon, one of those 3 should emerge as a solid WR3 option for Troy.  Pettigrew is dependable TE, he's not at the elite level, but he is capable of putting up monster games.

Overall - Troy has set himself up nicely for year one.  This is going to be a tough team to beat out of the gate, and he should remain highly competitive as long as Brady is playing.  But as good as this team may be now, I wouldn't be surprised if Troy finds himself in a bit of a rebuild in 2-3 years.

    How they finish year one
    1. Troy
    2. Junkie
    3. JRMRRT
    4. TBL

While I think Troy will come out on top this year, this will be a very competitive division, and I really believe that anything could happen.  I think all 4 of these teams are strong, and there will be no easy victories here.

Great analysis Tmoney, this is second to none. I think you're dead on with the future outlook of the teams. Very thorough, I love it.

Oh and thank you for being unbiased in your work.

I would definitely say so. I would have called it earlier, but I hadn't evaluated the other divisions at the time.

It may be safe to say the DC Nation 1 Champ will come from this division.  Is it possible all three wild cards can come from this division?

Oh god please just stop. You're seriously the Barry Horowitz of these forums aren't you, lol? It a crap shoot, all it takes is one breakout season or one injury. I won my league with 2nd and 3rd tier starters solely based on match ups.

I got respect for tmoneys predictions but they're not set in stone. Maybe i'll finish last big deal, I know i'll only keep improving. And maybe he was being nice to you by saying you'll finish 2nd this year, its kinda like donating to the special Olympics.

the reason there is so many highly talented players in this league evryone in it besides Jr picked in the top 5..

and division two isnt a slouch....there are 8 other teams beside division one...that might have something to say about the three wildcards...

    Calvin/brees/cam/green/forte/gronk/graham/Mccoy/rodgers/welker/wallace/dez/britt/Richardson/ arent bad..:)

LOL, yup I agree hardly much talent at all. Nothing that would warrant a playoff spot either. I'm actually quite disgusted being in a league with such dimwitted fools.

What the hell is a Gronk anyways? Like really you call these players stars, what has A-Rod or Calvin ever done?? Pffft.
