i bet i value those draft picks lower then anyone on the planet...SEE all my draftcalc leagues as proof...having said that i personally would give anything better then pick 10 for him....

I wish you were one of the 4-5 Ellington owners that I'm currently talking to :) Not saying you're off base, I just wish they shared your ransom asking price.

this is eerily similar to our lamar miller debates of last year godfather...only difference is that i think ellington actually has less talent and plays on worse team...

Well, I respect the opinion, and respect all opinions, as no one knows for sure... but, I will say that he led the league in yards per carry when talking about runners that received over 100 carries (or anything close to 100 carries). I think Ellington has Jamaal Charles type skills. He is FAR from even a starter in this league, so please no one mistake my "skill" assessment with "overall" assessment. To your point, Lamar Miller reminds me (Still!) of a Frank Gore in waiting, but clearly teams can ruin fantasy upside, appeal, etc.  Ellington is easily in the same risky type situation as Miller was/is, that point I agree with. I just think he is super, super talented. Insanely talented.

Id wouldnt spend more than a late to mid 1st on him. I think Ellington led the league in YPC because def were amazed that Arizona was even trying to run, lol. I dont trust the Cardinals to own their RB like I dont trust the Jets to own their WRs.

I currently have the 1.8 and would easily give it for him, probably go as high as 1.6 now...maybe after the combine, draft and FA could move up a little or down... Couldn't see him being worth more than the 1.4 with all the great landing spots for for rbs this season - Tenn, Jax, Atl, Cleveland, Jets, Giants, and to a lesser extent you could say teams like San Diego, Miami, Minnesota and Buffalo being nice places to to invest in a young rb

I think 1.6-1.8 range makes sense to me. I'd rather have a top 5 pick than Ellington right now based on value.

With the depth of the '14 class, I would not give a first rounder for Ellington. I honestly don't see where the explosion of love for Ellington came from. He had a decent rookie year with limited touches but I don't think he'll ever be a consistent starting RB.

It wouldn't be a horrible move, but one you probably dont have to make given ADP values right now. Get more if possible, but 1.05 still leaves a lot of room for home run potential. It's still risky, though, you could end up with nothing, know that. AZ does that to RBs. Can't last forever, that trend... but, will it end now? Or years down the road?

As it stands right now I would give up 1.05 and seriously consider 1.04. I have 1.07 and the Ellington owner just said "NO" Everyone wants to say he is too small but look at some of the other RBs that are in the top 10.

i have a 1:06, am ok rb yet would immediately trade for ellington and his potential though az has been a wasteland for rb production; anyone believe that changes in 2014? worth the risk though imo
