10 Team PPR Dynasty (mostly inexperienced dynasty owners).
    Start 3WR/2RB/1TE/1 Flex

    1.1) McCoy
    1.2) Gio
    1.3) Charles
    1.4) Lynch
    1.5) OTC
    1.6) me

My plan from the beginning was to go AJG if available (Calvin 2nd choice), so I can definitely get 1 of them. I was then hoping for either Graham or another top 6 WR at 2.5.

My question is..... should I consider a RB at this spot (would lean Lacy)? With the way RBs are being selected, should I be concerned about the position if I wait until the 3rd or 4th round to take an RB? Or should I stick with my original plan?

If the group is inexperienced, you might get away with some serious value later in players like Ellington, Tate... to to suggest you only land those types, but it would make me inclined to go WR/WR or WR/RB... land Foles later, Ellington, Allen... all great value guys in such a league.

On the flip side, though, not to confuse you, if you can land Allen, Cobb types later, it makes a case for going RB/RB in some ways... tough call, it's tough not knowing the trends of this group. Foles late is a lock in my book, though ;) Keep us posted!

No way do I take a RB with McCoy/Charles off the board. I'd stick with your original plan. AJG/Calvin.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

Agree...Take Calvin or Green. Target Foles as your QB later and undervalued RBs like Spiller, Martin and T Rich.

Appreciate all the quick feedback. Since a couple of you have mentioned Foles, how early would you take him? QB is a position that I was planning on waiting on as I feel there are 10 QBs that I would be content with as my QB1.

Depends on the flow. Wait to see when the QBs start coming off.

I'm guessing with this group that QBs will start coming off the board early, and I'm thinking that even if all 9 other teams go QB by the third round, that I can sit back till round 6 or 7 and get basically the same guy that other teams are using 2nds and 3rds on. Thoughts?

Agree with above, I'd take Calvin, AJG, or even Graham before a RB at 1.6

I agree with grabbing Calvin or AJG at 1.06.  I would take AJG but that's me.

Don't dismiss RB too easily when drafting with inexperienced managers. Lynch just went 1.04. I would grab Forte or Lacy. A nice WR1 is likely to come back to you in round 2.

Ya I agree^ Julio or dez will be there in the 2nd. The thing this year (IMO) is that there are so many wrs that I think are great value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds (Cobb, Allen, Jeffrey, cordarelle) the same can't really be said about rbs. So if I get the opportunity to take a top 4 or 5 rb I'll probably do it, even though I usually like to go Julio or ajg if I can.

Don't fall for the rb trick. In a 10 team league you will have plenty of choices coming back if u want rb. I'd probably go wr rd2 along with the 1st if julio, dez, calvin, gordon,dt are still available in a ppr.

Don't fall into the trends. Take BPA. Calvin or AJ.

In the end I am still pro WR/WR this year.. Foles in the 5th (with 10 teams) if possible unless he is next up in the 4th... Early 4th, if need be, is still a monster steal!

Start the run, don't follow it. I would take Calvin/Dez/Green 1st round, Graham in the 2nd.

In dynasty I always prefer WR over RB in start up mainly cause RB come and go so fast while WR will stick around.  AJG or Calvin for me also.  Graham is very close there.
I don't trust Adam Schefter and neither should you!!!

...still waiting for the 1.5 pick.

As many of you suggested, I'm still leaning WR with the pick with the strategy to go WR (or Jimmy) at 2.5.

IF I want to go RB at 2.5, then I think it might be a smart play to go RB, then WR as I think either Julio/Dez/Gordon/DT to be there at 2.5.  I think I would prefer one of those 4 along with Lacy vs either AJG/Calvin and whatever RB is best available at 2.5.

I have been thinking this way too......I feel more confident that I can get great value with some WRs later on (Allen/Jeffrey/Patterson/Hopkins) than I can with RBs later on.

    Hmmm.....
