Be thankful that both Gio and Lynch went top 4 and you'll land AJG in the first.

Should have no problems grabbing Lacy or Forte in the 2nd

Actually, I expect those 2 will be gone before 2.5. With this particular group of owners, I think they may continue taking RBs or move on to QBs.

So the choice may be, would I rather have AJG and a Murray/Morris type, or Lacy and one of the other top 6 WRs? If that's my choice, I think I prefer the latter.

If you can land the top 6 WR I would do that with your second pick also.  Having consistent points week to week from WR is a huge advantage.  Obviously if Lacy is there that would be an option but I agree with you he will be gone.  No way I would go Murray or Morris type over a Dez, Marshall, or Gordon.

For everyone in favor of WR/WR or WR/Jimmy, what would you hope to wind up with for your top 2 or 3 RBs (start 2 or 3), and which rounds would you likely spend on these RBs?

I like the WR/WR or WR/Graham move in a 10 team.  I would think that Murray, Ball, Bell, Mathews, Rice or even Spiller might be there in the 3rd for you.

I think if you wait for the 3rd to grab a RB you will be looking at Ray Rice, possibly Foster, Ellington, Mathews or Bush as your RB1.

If you go WR/WR there will be decent older backs available in the middle rounds. MJD,Gore,Sproles,CJnoK,SJax,Bell

Go spiller in the 3rd if he's there. If not shoot for the bell and ball combo
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.

I think i mentioned in another thread that when drafting with inexperienced dynasty players, take BPA at every pick.  My guess is none of them will take Jimmy before the 3rd, so you might have Green and Graham to start.  I consider both top 5 overall dynasty players.  That would be huge.

Then, if the BPA in the 3rd is Allen or Jeffrey, you take them.  And if the 4th brings you Marshall or Cruz at BPA, you take them as well:)  I certainly would not follow any position runs with this group

I think you're high for even considering taking RB at 1.6. Take Calvin or AJ and say, "Thank you Sir may I have another?" If you can land another top 6 WR or Jimmy in the 2nd take him too.

Well said. LOL  RB anymore are overrated, there is only a little over a handfull that are consistent week to week with all the split back situations and the ones who are still there won't last as long.  The WR position is tailored to dominate the NFL with all the lame rules now against DBs.  On the opposite side of that with all the split backs you can get an average group of RB and play mismatches and it is easy pickens.  Having a WR who can get you 10 points and possibly a TD is where it is at anymore.  As we get deeper into this fantasy transition QB are becoming more and more important also but in this league you will score late with that.

Yeah....dont let others dictate what you draft. Everyone is weak somewhere after a draft and yours will be RB...Just make sure you are really strong at WR and QB now. Take Calvin or Green and come back with the BPA at 2. That should be another WR or Graham. Get elite players at WR, QB and possibly TE and grab RBs like Ellington, Ball etc...

LOL.....not high, just thinking through different scenarios as I am still waiting for 1.5 to pick (work league so Commish is being lax with the timer).

Only reason I started considering RB is that I have Lacy as my 3rd ranked RB, and I think there is a strong chance that I can still get a top 6 WR (or Jimmy) at 2.5. I would then target a guy like CP at 3.6 leaving me with something like Lacy/Julio/CP.

Sticking with my original strategy, I would go WR then WR/TE then maybe RB. That would leave me with something like AJG/Julio/Ellington. I guess that's better than Lacy/Julio/CP, but it's arguable if you are high on Lacy and CP like I am.

I have a feeling that I might end up going AJG/Jimmy/CP and waiting until round 4 for my first RB....hopefully pickins aren't too slim at that point.

If they are all stupidly fighting for scraps at RB take advantage and grab the elite receivers they are blindly passing on.
