Theres more action in this 20 min overtime right now than a whole soccer season. Its LA you should be watching.

BS. Statements like this is what makes your argument fall apart.

Im just messing around man. Go loosen up your panties statement police.

Yep. Pretty much the response I would expect from you. Good job Mr. "Moderator". Thanks for pissing in the wheaties of those who happen to enjoy a sport you don't. Your other option? Ignore the thread.

I wanted the Blackhawks to win too but the game last night was amazing and I always get a little emotional when I watch the Stanley cup get awarded.

    Anyway, soccer.

8 years ago, I didnt care. Maybe glanced at the scores.

4 years ago I casually rooted for the US.

This year? Im geeked. In the last 4 years I've become a pretty big EPL watcher, a fan of Everton FC. Am familiar with a ton of players, paid close attention to the group draws, and will be pulling for Belgium, England, Mexico, Ecuador and the Netherlands in addition to the US. ..

Yeah, I guess Im a soccer fan now. :)

LA deserved and earned the Cup moreso than any other team in the playoffs. They're built for the playoffs, stacked team that made the right trades and signed the right players, lead by the wittiest old school coach. They may have a dynasty on there hands here.

Worst sport on the planet. ..what other sport makes you play a man down after a red card?? Take him out fine but he can't be replaced? Makes no sense to me

The other way to look at is there is a true consequence for repeat offenders. Yellow card is the first warning. 2nd Yellow card in a game equals Red card and your are not only sent off the field penalizing your entire team, the offending player must sit out the next game. Dire consequences in tournament play. This is what keeps the true ugliness out of the game. No goon squad retaliation. Makes perfect sense to me. Then, apparently, I'm a contrarian when it comes to sports not labeled footbal...

Has been very entertaining so far, most games having 3 or more goals scored. Let's hope they keep it up. They're far, far away from the dark ages of the 1990 world cup.

I don't care for soccer at all..but I've been gone for 4 days and catching up on this thread was DAMN entertaining! Haha it was like a 10 minute soap opera...

Personally, I don't like soccer or baseball. I played both for years, but I really never cared to watch either of them. I honestly get disgusted at the flopping. I disagree with those who say that flopping in other sports is the same thing.........soccer players fake cry and roll around holding their knee because they got tripped. That is a horrible combination of bad acting and a sever lack in masculinity to me..baseball is just boring. Soccer isn't as boring but I can't stand the crying...guess what though! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if that means you disagree with me then that is FANTASTIC. Power to you guys, I'm sure I like a lot of things you don't and vice versa. That's what makes me, me and not you. I'm just happy to live in a country where we we can be free to disagree.

So I hope I didn't offend anyone by being myself! I stated my opinion, why I think that, and then that I understand if you disagree. Is that so hard guys?
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

I hate the number 17. You would be better off being emurrell13 or emurrell15, but emurrell17 just sounds stupid!

Loving my Germany pick. But I never thought they'd destroy Portugal that badly. Then again who thought Spain would sit down for the Dutch the way they did.
