Top 8-12 for me. He's a strong fearless wideout that gets in done. Only drawback in the following years might be his QB.

Top 8. As a rookie look what he did on the field. I think top 8 isnt too far fetched.

I'm thinking the range is more like 6-8 ceiling. Not sure he'll ever crack the top 5

top 5 in Fantasy - he runs beautiful routes, has a gutty QB who gets him the ball, has protection from too much attention with Gates/Green, extremely quick feet, great after the catch and the attitude of Steve Smith. One top 5 season and a top 10 type of career is the ceiling I give him.

This for me. I just don't see elite top 5 upside in Allen right now. Not all of that has to do with Allen himself though. Some of it has to do with his situation. I think he can be a long term low WR1 though, which is still very valuable.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

There are a ton of great, and I mean great names that need to be slotted ahead of Allen. My personal top 15 is something lie this Keenan, as good as he is, is still not ahead of a good portion.

    Calvin
    AJ
    Julio
    Dez
    DT
    Alshon
    Marshall
    Gordon
    Patterson
    Brown
    Allen
    Cobb
    Floyd
    Evans
    Hopkins

I agree with this...couple names I'd have flip flopped but that's not the point, I like Allen a lot but the WR position is stacked.

    I think after

    Julio
    AJG
    Calvin
    Dez
    DT

... he can easily be arguable in that Alshon to Marshall range, or at least right after those two, if not in between. Great debate... don't worry, there is no right answer - yet.

I don't think he has reached his ceiling, he was a rook last year. But, I respect your take @lukeb5301, anything can happen. I myself see what he did as a rookie as a sign he can't be defined as a player yet. He still has so much to prove to us all. Sophomore slumps happen, the TB Mike Williams' emerge and vanish all the time. Remember how good he was looking that second season lol... wasn't he a 2nd rounder probably his sophomore season? Anything can happen, but I see a higher ceiling myself.

Again, great debate and I don't think anyone can rule out the possibility of this going in either direction.

    Let me rephrase that....

I like Allen, I don't trust rivers and that offense to reproduce..

Rivers was awesome until he lost Gates and Vincent Jackson and LT, since then it has been a rebuilding project, but with the talent growing around him we saw a resurgence I don't expect to stop.  Allen runs not good routes, he runs GREAT routes, I put him in the conversation as top 5 route runner.  I still haven't seen a CB be able to shadow him, he shakes everyone at the line of scrimmage.  To suggest he has reached his ceiling is to ignore the fact that he missed the first 4 games, extrapolate his per game average over those 4 games and he is in the conversation at the top.  His only limitation is his size, the guys who typically make it long term top five are bigger guys, I'm convinced he can have one or two top 5 seasons but not a top 5 career.

I'm saying 10-15 range.  I agree with Luke he has reached his ceiling already, and has more to do with the situation.  I do think he can consistently hang around that territory though.  It does have more to do with the people ahead of him then what I think of him.  I think he is a OK #1 WR for fantasy and a stud #2.

This more or less sums up my stance. Great talent but I don't see him overtaking the guys currently in the top 6 slots on a consistent basis. He may flash a season or two that flirt with those level of numbers but not often enough to entrench him as an elite #1 option.

Thats said, like some of the guys already mentioned, I would LOVE to have him as my WR2!

This was the 2nd thing I thought, position is so stacked, if I had a personal WR draft I would put him after Floyd and Cobb definitely, not to mention with Garcon having a deepthreat on his team, Maclin coming, back, Fitz with another year under Arians with the burgeoning Floyd (not to mention if Ellington does what many think he could this will free up Floyd underneath even more....and Arians WILL use him in all the positions like he did Wayne)....A full healthy year of Crabtree......Watkins and Cooks reaching potetntial......

Personally I think Allen's absolute ceiling has been reached, not that it's a bad thing, just don't think he has much more projection left.

Mid-Level WR2, which is still extremely valuable.

Oh, and Emmanuel Sanders in DEN is a VERY interesting situation.

Still have Welker ahead of him.

Can Edelman repeat last years' numbers?

    Just SUCH a stacked position.

Emmanuel is not even a top 30 talent imo. He didn't stand out in Pitts he won't in Denver. Latimore should move past him. Don't let his situation make you think he's all that talented. Maclin has yet to have a fully healthy year. You can put him in the same boat as Nicks.

I loved Emmanuel coming out of SMU. I love Pittsburgh's ability to draft in general. (Green Bay, Pittsburgh, NYG, BAL teams I always have a little more respect for in the draft process, not all the time but they get a boost).

I liked Emmanuel overall more than Antonio Brown personally....he was raw but he is improving and learning fast.

And THIS situation you refer too, is one of those situations that ABSOLUTELY trumps even talent....so you put talent with it and you get great things (Demayrius, Julius, and Decker are all great talents, but they do NOWHERE NEAR WHAT THEY DID with anyone else).

Oh and everyone thought Welker would dip leaving that situation, a little guy called Peyton Manning thought differently.

Don't let the "hype" of going to Denver deter you.
