Below you will find our Top 200 Fantasy Football Players as we enter the month of September.
Week 1 of the 2012 fantasy football season is almost here, and even if your drafts have already taken place, this list can be used for all those trade offers you plan to send out before opening day.
This top 200 rankings list is based on a standard PPR scoring format with line-up requirements of: 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1Flex, 1TE, 1K and 1DST; Unlike our Cheat Sheet rankings produced by Smitty, this list is created using a staff average.

Hey Smitty,
I know it’s generally based on defense stats from last yr, but are you at all concerned with Brady’s schedule vs Brees’, Newton’s, or Stafford’s?
Do you figure that into your rankings or is it not relevant/reliable enough to do so?
Thanks,
GoPack
I figure all that into the rankings, yep. Not concerned. All of those QBs have QB1 upside, though, it’s tough ranking any of them ahead of the other. Brady just seems to have the best chance he has ever had to hit 50TDs. Rodgers always could, and Newt is INSANE in the rushing department. Then you overlook Brees and he can outscore them all. Best year for fantasy QBs is on the way, even over last year IMO.
Smitty in your rankings 9/02 you have Dez 4 and AJ 5 but in the top 200 you have AJ 15 and Dez 21
Hey Joe… It explains up above: “Unlike our Cheat Sheet rankings produced by Smitty, this list is created using a staff average.”
hey smitty,
I have seen your rankings and understand that dez Bryant has huge upside, do you think he would be worth trading away demaryius Thomas and Peyton hillis? also I’m looking at trading for David Wilson but I’m not sure if I should give up Ben tate for him…. my league is non ppr and not a dynasty if that changes anything…I also want to say I love the site and keep up the good work and thanks
Thomas and Hillis for Dez? Absolutely, my friend! Look at my rankings, Dez is in the 4-5 WR rank range, Thomas and Hillis are miles below anything close to No. 4-5 for their positions. I doubt you land him that cheap, though. Keep Ben Tate. I love Wilson, but Tate can win someone a league if he gets starter carries for whatever reason.
Smitty… I want to get your feelings on CJ and MacFadden after the first couple of games. What do you think is up with them and do you think their running games are going to pick up to that 4/5 rankings? Also, with Wilson (NY) in the doghouse do you think it is time to drop him and look at picking up the other NY rb?
