Ill pay Smitty your fee every year if he wants so he doesnt loose a thing, LOL. This place is better without you. Addition by subtraction. Terrell Owens was a great football player but he was a cancer to teams. Go Away.

Ive been on forums with most on here for like 7 or 8 years now and this is the 1st time it has not been fun for me. And its not the 1st time by far in all that time that weve or Smitty has been wrong about some breakouts either. Its just a few people this season that are complete cry babies. Life is too short to spend your time somewhere you dont like so just go away if your not happy with the content. Its that easy in America where we have choices.

Trolling the DC forums to point fingers at those who provided you with advise on players that have under-performed this year because it cost you a fee. But HellAtlantic, I understand what you are saying....You can't always beat your chest when you are right and go hide in a hole when you are wrong.....but I don't think that's what this place or Smitty does. I'm not sure what else you want him or the site to do for you....or anyone for that matter.

It's pretty terrible marketing on the site's part if they were to say "Shoot, we really missed out on Foster, Wilson etc....." I'm not sure they are going to be in business that long. Same as any other site or product out there, they tout their success stories....are they always 100% successful? Of course not.

I think best you can ask for is an honest site that gives you reasons for picking breakout players...not just throwing darts at a board, that's (at least what I feel) they do here. The site was free for a long time and so what FFX before this, I'm gonna say that I've been around since 2007 on the sites and they have been great, not always 100% right.

I still firmly believe the real power in the sites is the message boards....quick easy way to bounce ideas off guys.

Anyways...getting off topic a little. My point is, I don't know what you want Smitty to do...or the site to do....acknowledge at the end of the year that they missed on certain players? I'm sure something like that can be added if need be.

The other thing too is that it's not like they or Smitty is calling out studs to perform. I remember in Cam's rookie preseason, I thought he was total garbage and I scoffed at the prediction here...I didn't touch him in any leagues....and the guy was barely drafted in most leagues I was in (either late rounds or waiver pick up)....same with Foster. It's easy to say now that these guys are studs, but they were way out there calls back then.

I guess for most that have been around for a while the hits and misses even out to some degree and probably more hits than misses.

I do understand how the upside board works, and how upside players are. And nobody here is shying away from making bad predictions. Smitty has said it numerous times that things didn't go well this season.

You can't just come in one season and then get mad because things didn't work out. By the same token of you saying we should have accountability, we do, you should also understand your own personal accountability for your drafting and strategy. Upside players have risk. If you take upside players, you have a chance to get the wrong guy. I know PLENTY of dynasty players who HATE rookie draft picks because of the risk. Its a tolerance for risk.

Sit at a blackjack table. Get an 8 and 2 with the dealer showing a 7. 100% of the time, you double down. however, doubling down doesn't guarantee a win. We are not guaranteeing anyone a win. Smitty gives GMs tools to help increase their chances of winning leagues.

By your logic, you should be upset with every single person who ever wrote about fantasy football. Every ranking, strategy, trade calc, mock draft you've ever done you should be upset with.

Here is data from MFL about the top 10 players based on ADP. We can assume most people drafting looked at "someones" rankings. Some website, magazine, professional, etc. NOBODY drafts without either a ranking or ADP developed from "A professional".

3. Arian Foster

4. Calvin Johnson

5. Jamall Charles

6. Ray Rice

7. Cj Spiller

8. Trent Richardson

9. Marshawn Lynch

10. Lesean Mccoy

Ray Rice, CJ Spiller, TR, and Martin are all not in the top 20 of their position. so who are you mad at for missing those calls? Lesean mccoy or Forte should've been drafted 1.1-1.3. Who are you mad at for that call?

I just don't understand what you expect. This is the first year in which Smitty didn't hit one or more MAJOR, ROSTER ALTERING DYNASTY PLAYERS that NOBODY was on prior. Now you're upset because he missed on 2 guys who the entire fantasy football community was on, David Wilson and Lamar Miller?

Again...Im going to say I have no problem with accountability. If you disagreed all along and were verbal about it and didnt draft a player like Wilson I have no problem getting an I told you so.

However...if you drafted Wilson then you agreed with the very people you are pointing your fingers at. You cant say I told you so cause you were thinking or saying it too. And a couple of I told you so's is fine...Continually poking the ribs all the time or just being nasty and mean to Smitty is uncalled for and why Im being unprofessional right now and have absolutely no problem with it. Smitty warned to not overdraft these players cause there was risk and that took their upside away from the start too.

I said Wilson and Miller would breakout this year...I was wrong and I admit it and have admitted it and have admitted all my wrongs in the past including Mark Ingram. I said all along that Ball would not breakout because of his situation this year...I was right and told you so. Done........

Exactly why those who play redraft and drafted all upside players are most likely upset. Guess what? Time to join a dynasty league and reap the rewards of many of this years upside players down the road. It's not always about today with the upside board. Sometimes it's about tomorrow with these guys. Dynasty is where it's at IMO.

the uncertainty of players production from year to year is the reason I gave up redraft leagues....its nearly impossibly have consistently have accuracy...godfather's track record is as successful as they come though...

And I am guilty of doing this is redraft and I am paying the price for it. Just somewhat lucky I went heavier on the WRs this year.

This reminds me of a "cookie" site I went on to get advice from a professional "cookie monster."

Everyone on the blog said, "wow, he's on fire...he can't miss....he's made me a lot of cookies..."

So, I joined the party....I wagered cookies I couldn't afford...and the guy had close to a 5 day losing streak...

What did I do...nothing.....why cuz sometimes as Jim Carrey would say, "That's the way the cookie crumbles..."

Whether I'm right or wrong, an no matter how this community feels about my accuracy this year, do you not see it's the way you go about everything. This isn't even the 10th time you've caused some major waves with the way you interact. Please stop making waves at every turn or you will be banned from the forum. The forum is a free product, I will not ban you from the content side of the site, especially if you paid, but you can't keep disrupting the community like this. This is your warning. No one is running from having a bad year on the Upside Board, or with my TRich prediction, but that is not all this site produces, so stop.
