My input on the complaints

You guys are welcomed additions to the DC forums. Don't let a few bad apples spoil you enjoyment here at DC. This is a great community and will continue to be just that.

Maybe some here should take it easy with the mob mentality... Is Hell Atlantic a troll? Or is he keeping it real and injecting a little accountability here? I'm on the fence on that question, but I don't think him being shouted down does much to make everyone else suddenly seem "right".

I said essentially the same thing Fontaines said awhile back. One's fantasy football decisions ultimately fall on only the team owner's shoulders. That's a fact. It's clear that Smitty works his ass off trying to bring this site the best information and he offers to interpret it all for us.... This is what we pay for, and I'm cool with that. For Pete's sake, it's $20!!! My leagues cost MANY times that amount, so who cares?

My only issue is similar to Hell Boy's in that this site is plastered with testimonials, and there's no shortage of fan boys and yes men on the message boards as well... To the point where sometimes I need to put my finger down my throat to read on to get the relevent information, so I find it a bit comforting to have that balance in someone willing to call out the gaffes.

I know I'm not exactly Mr Popularity with some of you either. Have been told to "shut up", "give it a rest" or to "go play in traffic", etc... :). It's okay. I'll pack my bags tonight and not look back. But understand from a "DC NooB" perspective that you all Are a tight knit group that does have a mob mentality that can get quite nasty. So when people complain that the tone on these boards is getting nasty, some of you don't seem to get that you contribute to the problem EVERY time you shout someone down, or gang up on another poster. No matter how "right" you may think you are....

Bottom line for me? While nothing Hell Atlantic says is untrue? I think Smitty has addressed the concerns adequately. Nobody should expect a business to advertise, "Hey, we were WAY off the mark with all these players last year!!! Come on in!!!". I think Smitty has heard the complaints and addressed them. I don't think it's necessary to re-assert them, nor defend them anymore. Time for EVERYONE to drop it and move on with the season... We'll get through, and the sun will rise in the East tomorrow... Okay? :)

The issue with HA has been an on going year long issue with him in damn near every topic, I know you're somewhat new here so you may not know that

Again, though, it was NEVER about him having concerns, it is how it is done. Being disrespectful is one an entirely different thing than just being vocal. It's not the first time either. Some just want to go against everyone and cause arguments. Not sure why. It's hard to figure. When I have dozens of people upset at how someone handles themselves, and talks to others, that's a problem. That goes for anyone.
