I'd take Watkins over Allen straight up...

Yup most likely for me too
    My 2013 Predictions:
    [:(] C.J. Spiller Will Be The #1RB(Jan 9th)
[XXX] Demaryius Thomas will be the #1 scoring WR!(Feb 13th)
[XXX] Trent Richardson will NOT finish as a Top 10 RB!(June 4th)
    [:(] Rob Housler will be a Top 5 TE in 2013!(July 18th)
[XXX] Josh Gordon will put up a 80/1200/10 stat line in just 14 Games!(Sept 5th)

Does no one here think that losing Whiz could hurt Rivers and Allen?? I know I don't expect Rivers to have an amazing season again

    I second that motion.

I'm higher on Allen than most. So I hear those liking the 1.01 side, but honestly, the 1.01 to me is quite possibly a running back (depending on landing spots), so I'm not so sure Watkins is the argument, at least for me - yet. I like Watkins a lot, and wouldn't fault anyone for thinking he is a future top 5-10 fantasy WR, but Allen is already there IMO. Easy call for me at least. Sophomore slumps, yeah, I hear those arguments, but we can't predict all of those, and I don't see that happening with Allen.

It's going to be real hard for me to find a rb worthy of 1.1..

Landing spots will either change that or enforce your stance.

I don't let landing spots effect my rankings to much.. True talent prevails.. That said I don't see a lot of blow me away landing spots for a RB this year and even then it's going to be near impossible for anyone to jump watkins

Keep the pick. Allen plays all NFC west next year....that won't b easy for 4 wks.

I didn't like hearing he was ready to quit after week 1. How will he act when he gets doubled & shut down?

I just noticed that Allen is ranked 7 ahead of Antonio Brown and Brandon Marshall...I like Allen but he doesnt deserve to be ahead of those guys yet IMO.

Time will tell.. I won't draft him that high but he is on the upside board for a reason, as top5-7 wr numbers appear to be against the consensus here ;)

And here's another thing. I feel like you could pretty easily trade down out of the 1.1 and still get your favorite rb this year...I mean Watkins is, and I believe will still be at draft time, the clear cut #1. If you, smitty, think a rb is the better bargain then I think you could get a little more value by trading down a spot or two...I think there will be a lot of people willing to pay a pretty penny to upgrade from the 1.2/1.3 to Sammy Watkins.
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Now I'll work on getting Julio or Dez so that I can sport one more stud WR next to AJ Green and Keenan Allen. I may use Gronk as bait, either for the WR1 or for a RB.

Oh, I couldn't agree more, I'm saying that I believe come draft day, it won't be as clear-cut (Wakins being everyone's 1.01)... it is always this way in Feb and Mar, but once the 1.01 has potential faces attached to it, and a runner like Seastrunk or whomever lands as CLE's starter, you will see at least 1 RB contend with the 1.01 enough that it won't be that easy, as some will take that RB at 1.01.

Right now, I agree, Watkins is everyone's 1.01 it seems.

I'm trying to get a couple of mid- low firsts now because I don't think a lot of people value those picks as highly now since they only know of the top 6 or so athletes. But I'll gladly take cooks and whoever goes to play wr for Carolina.

Love Cooks. Everyone else will too, though, if he lands in a great situation.

Cooks has been a sleeper favorite of mine for a while. Like you mentioned though, there's a big chance that people won't be sleeping on him in May-June.

As it pertains to the trade you pulled off, I would have kept what you had. I'm admittedly lower on Allen than many. I don't think what we saw in 2013 was his ceiling per say, but I think he benefited greatly from a situation that will change going for. I don't think he's elite, and I don't see him as a perennial stud WR1. I think he's a solid WR2 who will flirt with WR1 status here and there. Still not bad, especially since the 1.01 has done absolutely nothing in the NFL. The deal wasn't bad though, and like I said, I'm not hat high on Allen. So I definitely see why you did the deal since you are high on Allen.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

You know, it's funny how differently different communities value the 1.01 (and all rookie picks) vs other communities. I love the trade, but TOTALLY see why anyone would like Watkins.

Good job giving Miller instead of Michael. I'd rather own Michael going forward. Watkins and Allen is kind of a coin flip for me, but I'd take the proven guy in Allen. Sproles to me is becoming worthless real fast. I'd prob rather have a draft pick. I'd look to deal him
DC Superflex Dynasty. PPR. 4pt passing tds (1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,1QB/RB/WR/TE)
    QB-P.Rivers, C.Palmer, B.Osweiler, R.Mallet

    WR-D.Thomas, B.Marshall, C.Patterson, D.Hopkins, M.Jones, M.Wilson
    TE-G.Olsen, L.Green

I agreed with this entirely... Allen & Rivers will get 'overlooked' by my this year. I think both will be overvalued due to scheme change.  Not saying Allen doesn't have talent, but I see DJax type career, up and down from year to year out of Keenan
