BD I've been saying that for a long time now, hence the reason why I did so well in our league point wise! It's proves why you need more quality WR's as a whole even on the bench to punch in when your starters have byes or injuries! Another reason why I didn't get bitten on the Running debacle last year because my team doesn't reline on it like most teams do!

I have the same philopshy Swampies. In my big cookie redraft last yr I went Calvin, Rodgers, Graham, Ridley, Jordy, Lacy, Vereen, Gordon. Waited on RB and drafted the best team I ever had.

Watkins is going to be a stud! Allen is a stud already ..I think everyone forgets this guy broke just about every rookie wr record that includes rice/calvin/ajg etc.....he eraned to be ranked high but above marshall is tough but i like it..he has a good qb and plays in a fairly easy division too.

Allen is elite for those non-believers, the trade looks very even, could break either way but Smitty takes less risk so a good trade only lost if the riskier side hits big time, if that happens so be it!

It's arguable on both sides, but yep, we are on the same side. Allen would be my clear cut 1.01 if thrown into the pool of 2014 incoming rookies. No doubt.

I do! When a guy shows he is not coverable by any one Cornerback he has faced, catches everything that comes his way, and run's better routes than 98% of all NFL WR's, it's not too soon to say he is special and yes, elite.

Yeah, nothing wrong with calling someone elite after a year. It's all how you define elite too. Elite players can still bust due to coaching... Elite talent? Yes. A lock? Maybe that's when I say it's hard to call someone a lock. I think Allen is elite. It's all how we define things.

Elite is just a term everyone treats differently is all... Watkins hasn't played a game, but he is elite... Or is it potentially elite? Just varies by person what one is truly saying by using the term.

i am going call him elite for the simple fact he smashed most of the rookie wrs records and should have won rookie of the year too.we did with jj and ajg why not this kid that did out preform both in there rookie year?

You guys can call him that all you want I have no issue with it. I personally can't do it.. I need to see more then one year, more then 1000 yds 8 TDs...

Terry Glenn, Michael Clayton, Joey Galloway, Eddie Kennison, hello Mike Williams.. none of those guys are elite..

As for smashing most rookie records?? Huh??

Receiving yards? Not in top 5
TDs? Tied for 4th
Recs? 5th

I don't get it??

Now I'm now saying he won't become elite, but m not calling it based on that

And who has he faced that's a great CB ? Let's not act like beating up on the Raiders and Redskins CBs makes him great.. They faced a pretty weak schedule defense wise..

He only had 5 100 yd games and towards the end of the year could only manage was couple recs so don't act like he's uncoverable

Luke i read somewhere where he was on pace to smash every rookie record dont remember where that was but i guess that shoulder and hyper-extended knee injury the last 3 or 4 weeks hurt him..It not like this is a surprise. he was the #1 wr going into his senior year got injured and wasnt fully healed at the combine not like he came out from nowhere and he doesnt have the questionable character issues..i understand for sure not wanting to call him elite yet but just dont miss the boat on him if you can get him for good value..

I will def be buying if its not too much no doubt...
