The problem.. No one here is drafting mathews in the 3rd or 4th..
Ill take julio in the 2nd and Wilson or miller in the 3rd over cj2k/vjax

LukeB5301 said:Nevermind, now that I had a chance to look I see you took out CJ's 2011 season.. But I'm still not understanding why you're comparing AP to CJ, it has nothing to do with anything in the previous topic ,and honestly.. You're counting stats from 4 years ago.. I really don't care what CJ or AP or anyone did back in 2009

The biggest flashpoint in the discussion stemmed from Julio v. CJ. I thought it was interesting what Pemo offered, "That being said, I'm pretty sure Chris Johnson is being undervalued right now, simply because it's maddening to own him."
It's kind of crazy that everybody loves AP who finished nearly 200 yards from scrimmage behind CJ's 2009 season. And now that the offensive situation is finally improving for Johnson, drafters are still reluctant to take him even in the second round.
My thesis is basically that CJ+V-Jax is a far superior RB/WR combo to R. Mathews+Julio.
More thoughts?

You are correct that CJ/V Jax would be better as a duo, but thats from a purely productivity stand point and if both are starters (I wouldnt say far superior though). But, thats not always the question. You have to consider value and that Julio is the most valuable player in the deal. Is it worth downgrading CJ to Mathews to upgrade V Jax to Julio? It might be if the team is loaded at RB and CJ is a RB3 for that team. There are so many factors to consider when evaluating a trade.

I think BananaStand is onto something. Argue over details, but CJ does represent a value this year and you will pay full price for AP or Julio.
